To obtain a CPA license in Oklahoma, candidates must meet the education and work experience requirements. Candidates must complete 150 semester hours of education, including a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. These education requirements are the same as those required to sit for the CPA Exam.

In addition, candidates must complete at least 1 year of full-time work experience (1,800 hours) within the 4 years prior to submitting their licensure application. The experience must be verified by a licensed CPA and can be gained in public accounting, industry, government, or academia.

Applicants must submit their work experience through an Experience Verification Form, which includes the supervising CPA’s full name and license number.
