Gregory Carnes is the Dean of the College of Business and Raburn Eminent Scholar of Accounting at the University of North Alabama.
Some of his previous positions include serving as President of the Accounting Programs Leadership Group, President-Elect of the Federation of Schools of Accountancy, Secretary of the American Taxation Association, Chair of the Department of Accountancy at Northern Illinois University, and Dean of the College of Business at Lipscomb University.
He received his B.S. in Accounting from Lipscomb University, his M.S. in Accounting and Taxation at the University of Memphis, and his Ph.D. in Accounting at Georgia State University.
Dr. Carnes has over 20 publications, including articles in The Journal of the American Taxation Association, the Journal of Economic Psychology, The CPA Journal, Tax Notes, Tax Executive, The Journal of International Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation, and Advances in Taxation.
