Here Are The CPA Exam Changes Coming January 1, 2017
The AICPA launches the “next” CPA Exam on April 1, 2017.
But, what’s new on January 1st? Not much, really.
There are a few pronouncements that are eligible for testing for the first time in January 2017 and mostly impact Financial Accounting and Reporting.
Download Wiley-CPAexcel-January-2017-Update.pdf for a complete summary of what has changed. All Wiley CPAexcel content updates align with the AICPA Content Specification Outlines (CSOs) for testing effective January 1, 2017, and have already been integrated into your online course. There is no action required on your part.
Remember, we are your Partner Until You Pass with unlimited content and courseware updates until you pass the full exam. Contact us at anytime if you have questions or would like a guided walk-through of the updated course.
What should you do this first quarter of 2017?
Try to pass BEC and REG now. Why? Those two exams will be changing the most on the “next” CPA exam.
- BEC will become a four-hour exam and will have task-based simulations in addition to multiple-choice questions and written response tasks.
- The REG exam will also become a four-hour exam and will have more multiple-choice questions and task-based simulations.
- In addition, because these two exams will be longer, the Prometric Center will be charging you a bit more for these two exams on and after April 1, 2017.
