HELP STOP CORONAVIRUS:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a series of guidelines and tips for any individual who has questions about COVID-19. Reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed COVID-19disease 2019 cases.

The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure:

  1. Fever
  2. Cough
  3. Shortness of breath

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. The virus is thought to spread mainly:

  1. From person-to-person and between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
  2. Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

To view more information on COVID-19 risks and symptoms, go here. Find information on testing yourself for the Coronavirus here.

To help protect yourself during Coronavirus, the CDC has recommended taking the below precautions:

  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, clean your hands with a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  2.  Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  3. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  4. Put distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community. This is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting sick.
  5. Stay home if you are sick.
  6. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
