By earning the CAIA Charter, you signal your expertise in alternative investments and join a global community of more than 8,700 other CAIA Charterholders in more than 80 countries around the world.
In order to receive the CAIA charter, individuals must have at least one year of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. university, as well as pass both levels of curriculum that include topics ranging from qualitative analysis, trading theories of alternative investments, to indexation and benchmarking.
Specialized Expertise, Higher Paying Jobs
Because alternative investments are so different from conventional in such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, a specific designation like the CAIA helps distinguish qualified professionals and sets a standard for excellence. CAIA does have two very specific, comfortable and lucrative homes: private equity and hedge funds.
